Mini Reviews {Edition #2}

I just took a look at my book review posts and realised that I haven’t done any mini reviews since a decade! That’s sad because mini reviews are my absolute favourite and well I do have a lot of books whose reviews I haven’t really got to yet. Whoops.

Bookish Academy Awards Tag

A long time ago back when J.K Rowling had started writing Harry Potter, Sahi @My World of Books had tagged me for the Bookish Academy Awards Tag and look who’s finally getting to it!

This tag was originally created by Bookadoodlesย so go check out her video for more information! The basic rundown is that there are various categories like in the Oscar awards only that the awards will be given away to books and bookish characters! Exciting, right?

But also insanely frustrating….

This tag drove me nuts because it’s so difficult to chose between books! You always forget about some book or the other and feel guilty about leaving them out. So I tried to include only those books which I’ve read in the past year. Tried.

The ‘Me in Book Character’ Tag

And today in the life of Charvi we’re going to watch the main protagonist, aka me, bang her head against the wall while trying to recollect all the bookish characters she has ever read about.

That alone wouldn’t have been a problem but she has to know which characters she actually relates to the most and hello whoever thought this is an easy job is clearly insane. Not to mention she needs to chose just 5 of them.

Serious contemplations of burying herself under her pile of books had been made.

Reading Books in Public: Pros and Cons

Ask any bookworm what their haven is, the answer will always be curling up in their comfy bed with an unending supply of books, food and coffee/tea.

See, we’re such simple creatures.

But have you ever wondered why we like to stay holed up in our bedrooms instead of venturing outside with our books? Because reading in public is a complicated process that may involve inevitable death due to embarrassment. And apparently I do have a death wish because you can frequently(read: always) find me reading in public.

And so I decided to make a list of pros and cons of reading books in public because I’m obsessed with lists and have a severe need to analyse everything. But this can be very useful for you, so keep reading on!
