Watch me celebrate the end of each month cause I’m absolutely done with this hellish year. If I had a time-machine, I would be in 2021 already π
But since we’re all still stuck in this year we might as well celebrate the wonderful books coming out every month. So many of my anticipated releases come out in August and I absolutely can’t wait to get my hands on them! So without further ado, let’s have a look at my most anticipated August book releases.
Upcoming August Book Releases I’m Already In Love With
1. Loathe At First Sight
Honestly as soon as I found out this book is written by Suzanne Park I immediately put it on my TBR. Loathe At First Sight is a hate to love romance between Melody, a video game producer who accidentally creates a hit new game and Nolan, who’s an intern and the boss’s son. I absolutely adore enemies to lovers and this one sounds absolutely amazing. I have complete trust in Suzanne Park π
RELEASE DATE: 4rth August

2. Star Daughter
Star Daughter is my most anticipated book release of this year and oh my god, I can’t believe it’s almost out!!! First off, LOOK AT THAT COVER. How can one not fall in love? Second, it’s a story based on hindu mythology where Sheetal, the daughter of a star and an mortal embarks on a quest to help save her dying father. A lot of my friends are reading this book for the Indian Lit Readathon and they’ve been raving about it so I can say without doubt that I’m going to love this one.
RELEASE DATE: 11th August
3. Dating Makes Perfect
Ahhh look at that pretty watercolour cover!! I’ve read and loved Malice by Pintip Dunn so I simply put her upcoming book on my TBR without any question. Dating Makes Perfect is about the Tech sisters who aren’t allowed to date until they get to college and their parents keep asking why they aren’t engaged yet. Typical asian parents. So the sisters swear to get in some dating practice before marriage which means Winnie is now getting fake dating practice in highschool. If only Winnie’s first candidate weren’t her sworn enemy.
This book sounds utterly insane and I’m here for it π

4. Darius the Great Deserves Better
I remember screaming my lungs out when I got to know that we’re getting a sequel of Darius the Great is Not Okay!!! In Darius the Great Deserves Better, we finally see Darius living the chill gay life with a boyfriend! I mean it’s not Sohrab but the two of them Skype and i’m honestly just proud and happy for Darius.
Ahem, this is getting out of hand… this book is about Darius thinking he has a hold on his new life with a boyfriend, a soccer team and his internship at the tea shop but things start spilling out of hand when his grandmothers visit. They may not even like him and maybe Darius is into someone else and he’s suddenly not sure about pursuing tea as a career. Everything is a mess and I can’t wait to read how my precious boy navigates it all!
RELEASE DATE: 25th August
5. Where Dreams Descend
What’s one book absolutely everyone on twitter has been raving about? This one. And honestly, Where Dreams Descend Β has been on my radar for the longest time ever! I talked about it in my post Why I Love Books Set In Circuses and was crushed when I didn’t get approved for an ARC. Nevertheless, I can’t wait to get my hands on it!
I’m honestly not completely clear about this one except that some magicians take part in dangerous games to sort of be highlighted in a prestigious circus. This has some dark brooding vibes to it and all I need to know is that it features a circus and literally all my friends love it. I’m in!
RELEASE DATE: 25th August
6. Now That I’ve Found You
Now That I’ve Found You sounds like an amazing book where two teenagers chase down a famous grandmother. Evie is supposed to make a public appearance with her famous grandmother to boost her career but then her Gigi just disappears. So she enlists the help of Milo, a cute musician and the last person to to see her grandmother. This is an adventure full of romance and new discoveries and it doesn’t seem like anything I’ve ever read and I’m so excited for it!!!
RELEASE DATE: 25th August

Wow, these look great! I have fallen so behind in keeping track of what books are coming out, it’s disgraceful. I need to settle down and do a proper browse of Goodreads to see what’s coming so I know what to be excited about.
