April Releases That I Want To Shower With Love

I’m back with more and more books to spend your money on and shower with love πŸ™‚

With book tours and events being cancelled, authors are finding it hard to promote their upcoming or newly released books. And I feel like now is the time that book bloggers and bookstagrammers really step up and do their best to promote these books. Because they freaking deserve to be read and loved!

Okay, yeah, I’m pretty passionate about this. Anyway, here’s a list of April releases that I have my eye on.

April Releases That I Want To Shower With Love

1. Ghost Squad

Ghost Squad is pitched as Coco meets Stranger Things and I was already sold when I read that. Also, do you see this gorgeous and intricate cover? The story follows two best friends who accidentally release some malicious spirits on Halloween and now must team up to fight them and reverse the curse. I’m just so intrigued by this story and there’s also the fact that book twitter has been going crazy over it!

2. The SubtweetΒ

Having read and loved She of the Mountains by the same author, The Subtweet was put on my TBR without any question. This is a book about music, friendships and jealousy as well as internet fame. The author being an artist, this book is a glimpse into the music industry. Oh and it’s queer! Honestly, even after reading the blurb you get a vague sense of the book and I prefer it that way.

3. Mad, Bad & Dangerous To Know

Again, I would read absolutely anything that Samira Ahmed writes. But apart from that, the story itself sounds super intriguing. Oh, and before I talk about the book, I absolutely have to include both US and UK covers because the UK cover is too stunning to not be included. Mad, Bad & Dangerous To Know is about Khayyam and Leila, separated by 200 years. While in Paris, our budding art historian Khayyam isn’t able to enjoy her journey as much as she thought she would until she starts uncovering Leila’s journey.

This seems like a very dreamy story with time parallel POVs and I’m so excited that I got approved for an ARC from Netgalley and I’m currently reading this book πŸ™‚

4. The Perfect Escape

I had the pleasure to read The Perfect Escape before the release and let me just say, it’s absolutely nerdy and delightful. The story follows Nate, an employee at a Zombie Escape Room and Kate who is the latest zombie artist there. Both of them are growing closer and decide to take part in a weekend-long survivalist competition with a huge cash prize.

Let me just say that both these characters are absolutely adorable. Your heart is going to melt. The whole story is so well-written and you just get drawn into it very easily. I think I read it in two sittings in a matter of 2-3 hours. Definitely recommending it to everyone. You can keep an eye out for an interview of Suzanne Parks on my blog very soon πŸ˜‰

5. Clique Bait

Oh my god, I’ve already fallen in love with this book. Chloe’s friend was humiliated and ruined by the popular kids in her school so now Chloe’s out for revenge. She has transformed herself into a stylish and popular girl and is determined to sneak into their group. Except uh oh, she starts to fall for one of them. Clique Bait a thriller story with twists and turns and also a fake-dating aspect. I mean wow, I’m drooling!

RELEASE DATE: 28th April

Are any of these books on your TBR too?

Which April book releases are you most excited for?

Have you already read any of these books? If so, let me know your thoughts.

Also, how are you purchasing books in times like these? My entire country is under lockdown so I can’t buy books anywhere.
