Harley In The Sky, Circus Book Tag

Hiya everyone!

Today I’m furiously typing on my background as I take part in a super interesting book tag. If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know that I love Akemi Dawn Bowman and her books and I’m super hyped up for her upcoming release, Harley In The Sky šŸ™‚

That’s why today I’m attempting the Harley In The Sky, Circus Book Tag which was created by Jemma @Fantastic Books and Where To Find Them. I absolutely love this tag, you need to check out Jemma’s pretty little blog!

HARLEY IN THE SKY, CIRCUS BOOK TAG

RINGMASTER: What book introduced you to your favourite genre?

Divergent_series_set image_128503

My memories of the tenth and ninth grade are a bit fuzzy but I’m pretty sure that the Divergent series as well as The Infernal Devices series introduced me to Young Adult books and I haven’t looked back since šŸ™‚

ACROBATICS: A fast-paced read

Lock Every Door by Riley Sager was so intense and fast-paced that my heart was thudding against my chest, threatening to come out of my mouth. I seriously can’t recommend this book enough, it’s brilliantly crafted and you really won’t be able to put it down until you hit finish.

CLOWNS: A book that made you laugh

Not many books make me laugh out loud, despite the fact that it’s very easy to make me laugh in real life. But Weird Things Customers Say In Bookshops is definitely a hilarious account of real-life things people have heard in bookstores. I thoroughly enjoyed it and now have a newfound respect for people who work in bookshops and libraries.

KNIFE THROWER: A book that had you at the edge of your seat

A House of Rage and Sorrow by Sangu Mandanna sent me into a whirlpool of emotions and I really truly am still not over that book. I need closure but I’ve heard the closure = lots of people dying. So basically, I’m screwed.

Ahem, but you should definitely check out this science-fiction series inspired by the Mahabharata epic, I bet my soul that you’ll love and treasure it and in the end, perish like everyone who reads it.

TIGHTROPE WALKER: A book you just couldn’t put down

I sped through We Hunt The Flame by Hafzah Faisal and it’s easily one of the best fantasy books I’ve ever read. The pacing is great, the world-building is excellent and the characters are to die for. I’d lay my life for each and every one of them. They probably won’t like that though…

VENTRILOQUIST: A book with a great twist

The Loneliest Girl In The Universe by Lauren James remains to have one of the best ending twists that I’ve ever encountered. You know those kind of twists where the author changes your whole ass perspective and you’re left screaming in the night? Yeah, hat one. I’ve heard it’s a staple of her books which makes me even more excited to start reading her other books!

MAGICIAN: A book with a magic system you love

34728667

Wow, I feel like it has been too long since I fell in love with a magic system in any book. I guess if I had to pick I would go with Children of Blood and Boneby Tomi Adeyemi. I really liked the first book and absolutely cannot wait to start on the sequel! After I skim through the first book to ahem, try and remember what all went down.

STATIC TRAPEZE: Best or worst cliffhanger

44017627

Wayward Son by Rainbow Rowell was a very disappointing read for me. It was a huge let-down and the most infuriating thing was the stupid cliffhanger we were left at. Not a well-plot one, just something that would make the readers yell and want to read the next book. Ugh. Definitely the worst cliffhanger I’ve ever come across.

  1. Ahh I love your answers for this tag, Charvi! I so agree about that twist in The Loneliest Girl, I did NOT see it coming and it had me screaming, too, haha. I loved this book though! šŸ™‚ And you make me want to get a copy of We hunt The Flame, I’m so, so curious about this book šŸ™‚
