I might have missed a month in regard to my binge-watching update so I came up with the idea to combine two moths for this time. And yet the first week of October has passed and this post isn’t up. How wonderful!
Nevertheless, I’m here now and so is a list of everything I’ve been watching these past two months. I started university mid-August so 90% of movies and shows were watched in that month because ever since I started uni it’s been a hell of a hurricane. But I still managed to fit in a good amount of Netflix and Amazon prime while procrastinating for assignments so all is well!
Everything I Binge-Watched August – September
SHOWS I BINGED
1. STRANGER THINGS SEASON 3
I just watched it because of the hype… And also because I was getting super tired of wondering why people were going on and on about Hopper. And it was good? Look my thing with Stranger Things has always been that it’s a pretty good show but it just has too much hype. I don’t get the immense fuss. I love that they bought Mom Steve back and made El and Max friends among other stuff but there were some annoying things too. Like how everyone just kept ignoring Will. And Mike just really got on my nerves, okay? In short, it was good, I guess.
2. CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA SEASON 2
I AM SO OBSESSED WITH THIS SHOW! It just kills me, it’s SO amazing?! I love seeing my OTPs sail and I just love the new concepts and details introduced. And I’m not blind, everyone in that cast is super hot, I have chills. It’s like the Shadowhunters cast all over again…
AND OMG THAT ENDING –
I need season 3 right now, my precious boy Nick needs to come back. I shall fight everyone for him.
MOVIES I BINGED
1. SECRET OBSESSION
Now this was a nice mystery slash psychological thriller! It was on my list for so long and it certainly didn’t disappoint! Pretty intense too, I had my heart in my throat. Great storyline as well as acting. Nothing else to say, except that it did creep me out a fair amount…
2. BACK TO THE FUTURE 3
Yes, I finally finished this series! The third movie was okay? I loved the call-backs and all but I have to say, the first one will forever be my favourite. I’m also kind of glad that they stopped at three, I’m not sure how the fourth one would have turned out, frankly speaking.
3. THAT’S MY BOY
Oh this was a wonderfully funny movie, starring two of my favourite actors! It was kind of insane and weird as well as hilarious so yeah I would say a good way to pass the time and get some laughs.
4. I AM NOT AN EASY MAN
This one had a really interesting concept wherein a playboy enters an alternate dimension where women are ruling and the men are being discriminated against. It’s really amazing and quite hilarious although the plotline confused me at times because it was slightly hard to see where it was really going. Still a great watch though!
5. MADE OF HONOUR
A rom-com with many hilarious twists, I really loved watching the main guy scurry around trying to disrupt his best friend’s marriage while looking like a sore loser in front of the actual groom. Like any other rom-com it was a little cheesy but still quite enjoyable.
6. MY BEST FRIEND’S WEDDING
Again, this one was kind of similar to the last one? Meaning that the themes were kinds the same. Enjoyed it for the very same reasons and the fact that it has a different ending. If you see too many rom-coms on this list, know that I’m trying to catch up on the ‘classics’ and I watch rom-coms as sort of background music, if you get what I mean.
7. CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC
I’m not really a clothes person but I love seeing bright new clothes in movies? It’s pretty cheerful. I know this will come as a shock but no, I never plan to read the book behind this movie for the very same reason that I didn’t really want to read The Devil Wears Prada. I can’t handle this much description of clothes, I merely skim over it and it makes like 40% of the book? I like the movie because it gives you visuals instead of descriptions and more of the actual story which was pretty great actually.
8. THREE COLOURS RED
I saw this movie as part of my literature course so needless to say, it was astounding. And dark. My professor loves dark foreign literature. I loved the concept behind the movie and how the whole story was only kind of evident towards the very end of the movie even though I kinda had my finger on it for a long time. It talks about nihilism and narcissism amongst other stuff.
9. BRIDE WARS
Again, so much fun to see people squabble in movies, especially over something as big as a wedding! And oh my god, I stan prank wars, all prank wars are AMAZING. So much fun to watch 🙂
10. ESCAPE ROOM
This is hands down, one of the best movies I’ve seen for a very long time! I’m a huge fan of escape rooms in general and I love this movie’s take on it. It gave me so many chills and had my heart beating against my chest at all times. Brilliantly enacted and very well written, I would definitely recommend for fans of thriller, mystery and maybe even the horror genre. I absolutely cannot wait for the sequel to be launched!
Which was the best movie or show that you’ve seen in the past month or two?
Are you currently watching any show? How is it going?

LMAO that’s some eerie relation. But yeah, I totally get it, don’t go into the show because of the hype, watch it if you’re actually interested in it. OMG can’t imagine how good it would have been in a theater!
Aww I feel that too. Have soome rest and hopefully work doesn’t bury you deep 😦 Good luck!

I’ve not seen any of the shows/movies you mentioned, I have of course heard of Stranger Things but I’ve not seen it. Recently I watched season 5 & 6 of RWBY (pronounced ruby) which is a show Soph introduced me to and I’m obsessed, you can watch the first 5 seasons on youtube though and then the 6th is on the company’s website and you can watch it for free but you will see ads sadly. But I am so pumped for season 7 to come out of RWBY like I can’t wait, I also need to pick back up on Fairy Tail though I’ll probably need to use my Crunchyroll account for that.
I watched Inception with my family a couple weeks ago, it was good, like the whole concept behind it and everything was interesting but I felt like the movie was missing some things. Like fleshing out the characters more to make the viewer care about them.

Ah I hadn’t watched Stranger Things for the longest of times. Ooh I’ll put RWBY down on my list. Ads are annoying, sure, but I don’t mind as long it’s free 🙂
I’ve heard of Fairytale, that’s a pretty popular one. Same with Inception, but I have no idea what it’s about.
