My 100th Blog Post: Celebrating With Lists!

Honestly even as I type these words I just can’t believe that I’ve written a 100 freaking blog posts. 100 blog posts. 100 actual website pages with coherent sentences that people have read and appreciated. This is literally blowing my mind.

And to top that off yesterday I hit 500 wordpress followers! I mean I just can’t believe that 500 of you lovely people want to read my content and just wow. That’s a big number. Which only means double the celebration!

Like a typical list loving Type-A personality I decided to compile some lovely lists of miscellaneous things that I hope you’ll enjoy. So sit back and let the show begin!

45 Blogging Experiences & Things I Learnt

  1. Oh my god there are so many of my supportive friends cheering after me every freaking where! As a person who has such few friends in real life, this makes a huge smile appear on my face every time I think about it.
  2. I got physical review copies! I’ll never forget the moment I held my first paperback review copy in my hands and the pride that swelled in my chest.
  3. I consider myself so lucky to be around when the bookish wish tag started on twitter. I got so many wishes fulfilled but the best was probably the paperback ARC of Darius The Great Is Not Okay.
  4. I GOT TO INTERVIEW REAL AUTHORS ON MY BLOG! Not to mention my favourite author!!!
  5. I learnt how to draft professional email and reply to them too!
  6. I also learnt how not to be scared while approaching other people, especially when it comes to publishing houses and authors
  7. I’ve also had so many one on one conversations with authors I love and admire – it still feels like a dream
  8. AN AUTHOR I LOVE CALLED ME A FRIEND IN A TWEET. NEVER GETTING OVER IT.
  9. Blog tours! So many fun blog tours to participate in!
  10. I ACTUALLY INFLUENCED SOMEONE TO GO BUY A BOOK THAT I PRAISED.
  11. So many people read Simon and books by Sandhya Menon on my recommendation 🙂
  12. Readathons! I had no clue they existed and how fun they can be to participate in.
  13. I FREAKING ORGANISED A READATHON WITH MY BEST FRIENDS
  14. I got awards for my blog? Actual blogger awards??? WOW.
  15. I’m a super duper pro at editing graphics now? This was NOT something I ever imagined myself doing
  16. I’ve got authors featuring me and the pictures I took???? WHAT A BLESSING
  17. Oh my gosh the reason my book collection has expanded so much is because of the lovely giveaways people host and the books that I won through them!
  18. I discovered a lovely passion called bookish candles and I intend on hoarding every last one of them
  19. I’ve honestly become so much more woke not only about topics regarding the bookish community but other topics in general
  20. I slowly developed and discovered my own writing voice 🙂
  21. Book blogging helped me discover NaNoWrimo which helped me wroite a 60k draft!
  22. This whole process has made me more open and accepting towards change
  23. I got introduced to planners and bujos!!
  24. I WASN’T AWARE OF BOOKTUBE BEFORE I STARTED BLOGGING!!!
  25. I am now a pro at multi-tasking, especially when it comes to social media so you all can suck it!
  26. SO MANY DIVERSE BOOKS TO READ
  27. I absolutely love the collab posts and guest posts I’ve done with other bloggers and will continue to do more of them 🙂
  28. I never even knew what a street team was, let alone that I would be a part of them!
  29. Um I never even dreamt of owning any signed copies but now I even have a signed and personalised copy??
  30. Actual authors and bookish sites are hitting up my email to collaborate and send me review copies like whaaaaat?
  31. I have successfully been converted into a spreadsheet lover
  32. I’m a low-key aspiring writer and I literally coulldn’t have learnt more about writing anywhere other than the bookish community
  33. This certain author keeps approaching and thanking me for my negative yet constructive reviews on her books? Let me get this straight, somebody is appreciating the fact that I am brutally honest about a piece of their soul? I’m out of words…
  34. I GOT PAID! PAID TO REVIEW BOOKS! PAID TO READ!!!
  35. I also got to work on a lovely blog banner that one of my friend commissioned me to do and I still can’t help getting weirded out by seeing it every time I go on her blog
  36. I’ve never held live chats and live video session with anyone, let alone about books!
  37. Oh the timezones drive me crazy but I’m definitely learning how to keep track of them!
  38. I learnt not to shame others for their book choices and not be ashamed of what you want to read
  39. While I haven’t stuck to them, discovering book boxes was a wonderful experience!
  40. Getting into the craziest conversations with my book blogger friends
  41. I joined book clubs! It was always a dream for me
  42. PRE-ORDER CAMPAGNS ARE THE BEST
  43. I just keep discovering so many new things about everything, especially myself 🙂
  44. It’s been bitersweet but I’ve learnt to always write drafts in Word document or somewhere safe whether it’s reviews or 1700 word post…
  45. Oh did I mention I have authors following me? Holy freaking shit, I have no idea what interesting things they find on my social media accounts but just it makes me so over the moon happy!

Well I’m not sure what you mean here… this is such a strange question but like a romance character would probably get mad about the fact that s/he isn’t getting romance in their life?

3. Do readers prefer slow-burn romance?

Why do you ask? Is the indication that we hoard slow-burn romance books and scream and cry over them while performing satanic rituals for the characters to get together any indication? YES WE LOVE THEM VERY MUCH, GIVE US ALL OF THEM THEY HURT.

4. Geekerella darien gay?

I really appreciate the gay culture but let’s be honest, if Darien were gay Asley Poshton would have zero plot and hence no book.

I AM NOT KIDDING. I have no idea who Morticia Addams is and where the hell did I use her gifs but damn that person must be desperate if this search led them to my blog and not the pictures section in google…
