Happy New Year + Announcements

Happy New Year everyone!

We trudged a lot and somehow survived 2018 so congratulations to all. I’m hoping 2019 is going to be  a lot much better than last year which is why I’m starting it off with a couple of announcements.

 

First off, I’m participating in two wonderful reading challenges this year!

 

Beat the Backlist is a year long reading challenge where readers set a goal for themselves to read backlist books that were published in any year other than the current year. This reading challenge dedicated to helping you knock those backlist books off your ever-growing to-read list. Any genre, any format, any length.

I have set a massive goal of 25 books and I even have a tentative TBR which will probably change a lot because I’m a mood reader. Anyway, you can view my TBR here.

 

I’m participating on behalf of my Hogwarts house which is Hufflepuff! GO HUFFLEPUFF!

At the end of the year the points will be tallied for each house so hopefully I can earn a good many for mine and make my house proud 🙂

As an extra challenge I’ll be trying to fill out the bingo board here.

The second reading challenge I am taking part in is also a year long challenge. It is the Reading Women Challenge where readers aim to slay the patriarchy by reading books about women and books written by female authors.

There is a list of prompts that you try to cover and if one book can satisfy multiple prompts then even better!

 

 

I had heard about this challenge last year so I’m really pumped up to be taking part in it this year! Again, let me know if you’re taking part in this one, I would love to buddy read some books with you all.

 

 

Okay, now coming to a slightly bigger and more personal news!

Last October I published a post called Thoughts I Have While Reading a Slow-Burn Romance. Not only did I have great fun writing it but all of you went crazy over it and I remember being so happy because wow it was literally just me writing that thoughts. Who knew my thoughts were so exciting?

And then I realised I have so many more such insane thoughts on a huge variety of topics.

This is how Off Tangent Thoughts was born 🙂

 

Off Tangent Thoughts(OTT) is a meme series wherein I will be making a post of my insane thoughts on a bookish topic. Posts will be published on the second saturday of every month!

I am really pumped up for this series and I hope you all will be as happy as I am to read about these posts! I have a lot of ideas planned out for this series so you shall definitely not be disappointed 🙂
