Hi everyone!
I’m s excited, this is my first post for Bookending Winter based off the prompt 2019 releases by Imogen @Imogen’s Typewriter
So you read the title, this is about 2019 book releases that I am absolutely desperate to get my hands on. Like so desperate that I would sell my soul, stab people and give up coffee.
Yes, that desperate.
Let’s get onto the list, you can simply click on the cover images to view the books on Goodreads π
1. An Anonymous Girl
Release Date: January 8
TWO WORDS: PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER
Honestly, you say those two words and it’s a seal deal for me. Not to mention that it has been written by the authors of the bestseller ‘the Wife Between Us’.
Have I read that book yet?
Nope.
Does that stop me from tossing An Anonymous Book onto my TBR pile?
Also no.
2. The Dreamers
Release Date: January 15
OH. MY. GOD.
Have you read the blurb of this one???
A strange illness takes over a small college town that sends students into perpetual sleep and triggers life-altering dreams with unusual levels of brain activity.
This sounds beyond interesting, I just need it in my hands, right now.
3. The Love and Lies of Rukhsana Ali
Release Date: January 29
Okay so not only is this book Own Voice but also features a main character who is a person of colour and LGBT!!!
Talk about representation!
And you all know you just need to say gay or LGBT and I’m onto that book XD
4. On The Come Up
Release Date: February 5
I mean come on, who isn’t on the look out for this one?
Angie Thomas tore apart my heart with The Hate U Give which also got movie rights(still waiting for it to come up in Indian theaters -__-) so obviously I want her to destroy my heart again because why else am I even living?
5. Children of Virtue and Vengeance
Release Date: March 5
Now I know that there has been a controversy regarding the author lately and I agree that Tomi made a mistake and maybe the apology wasn’t enough but I honestly can’t find it in my heart to hate upon Children f Blood and Bone and it’s beautiful characters for that. They completely stole my heart- Tomi Adeyemi stole my heart with her splendid writing and the amazing plot which is why I am screaming for the sequel since the day I finished COBAB.
But like I have already forgotten 80% of the book…
*sobs hysterically*
6. The Princess and the Fangirl
Release Date: April 2
I HAVE BEEN SCREECHING EVER SINCE THIS BOOK WAS ANNOUNCED BECAUSE IT IS A SEQUEL TO GEEKERELLA AND OMG WHAT EVEN IS BREATHING?!
Geekerella was on of my first reads of the year and I went absolutely crazy because oh my god so adorable, I was dying of the fluff. This book was GOLD. I harped all about it in my review. AND NOW THERE IS A SEQUEL.
Can someone lend me a time turner please?
7. The Boy Who Steals Houses
Release Date: April 4
Did you read A Thousand Perfect Notes by Cait aka paperfury aka our book blogging queen?
I did and it was so beautiful it broke my heart into a million pieces and I shall somehow tape them back together by May 4 BECAUSE I NEED TO READ MORE OF HER BEAUTIFUL WRITING OKAY?
I mean I read snippets and am totally in love with the characters. Also it’s supposed to have a big messy family and I am so here for it because families are so rare to find in YA books.
ALSO CAIT WHEN DO WE GET THE FREAKING COVER REVEAL?
8. Hot Dog Girl
Release Date: April 30
Isn’t this cover so pretty?!
I swear the blurb is so short, it’s sad but this book is giving me major cutesy vibes. Also huge Geekerella vibes too so yeah I gotta listen to my heart.
Not to mention that Becky Albertalli has been harping about this book so much, of course I gotta have it on my TBR!
Are any of these books on your TBR too? If not then which 2019 releases are you excited for? Do you think you’ll end up buying all of them? Any other 2019 releases that you feel I should be on the look out for? Comment! π

I need to read Geekerella! And yes, I am totally down for The Boy Who Steals Houses. I also need Wayward Son, The Wicked King, Dev1at3 and Darkdawn. And if Maggie Stiefvater decides to release a book next year then I will need it too.

Did you read Six of Crows or the Grisha Trilogy? That’s why everyone is so hyped, it’s a third spin-off series in the same world.

Nope. I think that’s why I haven’t checked out King of Scars yet π

Yes, those three will be the highlights of 2019! Hah I stumbled upon The Dreamers by accident. Epic Reads made a post on like 50 anticipated releases and I added half of them to my TBR π
