Shenanigans I Am Upto: Art Shop, Bookending Winter and a Fractured Foot?

So ever since I stopped writing wrap-ups(no regrets there) I’ve felt there may be some sort of disconnect between you all and me since those kinds of posts were where I could chat freely and just update you on my life in general.

So I guess I am starting a new series of posts aka. Shenanigans I Am Upto where I can pop in and just update you on random stuff in my life whenever a lot has been going on.

Like right now.

Also these posts are going to be simply put, a hot mess because my thoughts are a colossal heap  of tangled strings and I may keep adding stuff in these posts as I keep remembering it, which includes last minute too. Does that make sense? I hope it does.

Starting on a positive note, I opened an art shop called Not Just Colours on Instagram 🙂

I’m selling bookmarks and custom made pieces so if you could check it out that would mean the world to me!

I also made a sudden decision, this was so on the spur honestly I blame my mood swings, to take part in Bookending Winter which is organised by my friends Clo and Sam. Bookending Winter is a quarterly event, running under the umbrella term “Bookend Events”, aspiring to bring the book blogging community closer together. Bookending Winter has a vague theme of Christmas/Winter. To participate you have to post 3-5 posts based on some given prompt or even create your own prompts, take part in the Tidyathon and the Christmas Readathon. But you don’t need to do all that to take part- you can do any two or any one activity like I am going to be making blog posts on wintery prompts as well as taking part in the readathon. For more information go read Clo’s post here, sign-ups are still open!

Coming to the Christmas Readathon, there are 12 challenges to complete throughout the month of December  and one book can count for multiple challenges. I took this challenge pretty seriously and made a TBR where I can cross all the challenges in 8 books 🙂

Anyway, if you want to take part go check out her post here.

Umm also I’m sure you read the title and yup I kind of fractured my foot.

Okay not kind of, I definitely fractured my foot :/

I am so freaking mad at myself because I had a clean record of no cracked or broken bones and here I went- tripped myself while walking on some kind of uneven ground. What even.

Not to mention I’m already going a bit crazy sitting in the bed all day because this is going to at least 4 weeks and it has only been a week so far. I mean sure my reading is going great but I miss gym and just walking in general.

Also, I have exams from the 6th, yes apparently I definitely have to give exams don’t talk to me about it but it’s all good. I guess.

Oh and also writing SOPs is PAINFUL.

I mean I can write essays, 50,000 worded NaNoWriMo novels but can I write a 500 word SOP? Nope. I did manage to type out a short one and pressed send before I freaked out and started re-editing it for the 100th time. Still have 2 more to go. O and a couple of entrance exams for college in January that I’m nervous about but also looking forward to? Mainly because school is a bitch and I will NOT regret leaving it behind me as I go on to college.

And don’t you dare come at me with that ‘oh high-school are the best days of your life and you’ll miss them blah blah blah’ shit. I know what I’m talking about.

Also 2018 is ending in 28 days and I am freaking out THERE IS SO MUCH LEFT TO BE DONE!!!

So yup this was a little summing up of what is happening and I really hope I can publish this without thinking if I missed something about a 100 times.

What’s going on with you? Anyone panicking that the year is ending? Are you taking part in Bookending Winter or any other events? Also if you celebrate Christmas tell me what do you plan to do, I love hearing about it all!

      • SINCE YOU ASKED I SHALL TELL YOU!

so first time I was 4, thought it was smart to swing on a chair and table using my arms. The chair gave way, I fell on my wrist.

second time I was 6 and Sabre our old German Shepherd tripped me and I landed on the concrete stone in my back garden on my wrist again.

third time I was 8 and fell off a horse cause she bucked and again fractured.

wow…maybe this is why I don’t like even numbers xD

  2. I am definitely in denial that this year is about to end 😦 Seriously, I can’t believe it. It went too fast.
Congratulations on the shop. Charvi. Your work is really amazing. So sorry about your foot. I really hope it gets healed soon 🙂 Have a lovely December and good luck with exams.

    • Same! But like I’m glad it’s ending. This year has been hectic and kind of difficult and if I didn’t have the bookish community with me I don’t know what I would’ve done. I can’t believe I’ve been blogging less than a year!
Ah thank you! 😀 Yeah, hopefully it gets bettwrbsoon. I have one in a couple of hiurshand it’s all last moment gah. I thought they would allow me to miss these because of my foot but nope. Anyway, thanks a ton 🙂
