May Monthly Wrap Up

I SWEAR ON BOOKS THIS MONTH JUST BEGAN

It was just last week that I promised myself May is a new start and I’m going to post less but quality posts. But then time just flew by and wow it’s the 30th before I realise.

Whoops.

It hasn’t gone past me that I’ve literally only posted tags and book reviews this past month despite the fact that I had assured myself I would do the exact opposite. Wow, so mature of me. But don’t worry, my summer vacations have finally started so its time to buckle up and produce some crispy discussion posts and interesting lists 🙂

That said, let’s look back to see what all took place in the month of May.

BOOKS I READ

I read a good amount of 8 books this month which seems like a huge feat, taking into consideration my hectic school schedule. Click on the pictures to read my reviews on goodreads or the blog itself.

1. A COURT OF MIST AND FURY by Sarah J Mass

2.  A COURT OF WINGS AND RUIN by Sarah J Mass

3.  ISAN(INTERNATIONAL SENSORY ASSASSIN NETWORK #1) by Mary Ting

4. GYPSY BOY by Mikey Walsh

5. THE ABSOLUTELY TRUE DIARY OF A PART-TIME INDIAN by Sherman Alexie

6. THE BRIGHTSIDERS by Jen Wilde

7. GHOST MACHINE: A GOTHIC STEAMPUNK NOVEL by Kristen Brand

In other news, as I mentioned above my summer vacations have started!

No, it doesn’t mean two months of reading and frolicking thanks to all the huge projects I’ve got -_-

Also, let’s establish that my memory is-

I forgot what I was going to say. Literally the rest of the post is represented in that one line. And guess what I’ll remember the moment I hit publish? That’s right, EVERY FREAKING POINT THAT I MISSED OUT

Okayyyy

As far as I can remember I was pretty busy with non-bookish stuff but I did find a new bookish candle store and ordered some amazing stuff from there!

I also went crazy while organizing a huge bookshoot and then procrastinated and cried my eyes out when it came to putting all the books back…

But then again this gave me an opportunity to re-organise my bookshelf which now looks like a freaking amazing rainbow that I can’t stop staring at. The rainbow is in honor of Pride Month which begins today!

I’ve also joined a Pride Readathon and this is my TBR for it-

  1. Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda(re-read)
  2. Leah on the Offbeat
  3. Queens of Geek
  4. Openly Straight
  5. 5. How To Repair a Mechanical Heart
  6. A Gentleman’s Guide To Vice and Virtue
  7. Let’s Talk About Love
  8. More Happy Than Not

I’m also really looking forward to the release of A Thousand Perfect Notes by Cait!

I also interviewed Cait a long time back regarding ATPN so go refresh your memory and read that post here!

I’ve also been blog hopping lately and wow I really missed discovering wonderful new blogs and commenting on discussion posts and otherwise!

And big news, I finally got accepted for some of my Netgalley ARCs so I’m up on Cloud 9! Not to mention that any day now my blog will get 100 wordpress subscribers!

And I think that’s about it? Feels like I’ve just been babbling since ages 😛

  1. I spent my month in the last dregs of Kdrama obsession during which I had both a reading and blogging slump. Sad but I actually enjoyed taking a break so I’ve decided not to feel guilty about it. I’m getting back into both reading and blogging now though.

I’m not joining in on the Pride Readathon but I’m sure you’ll enjoy the books! Especially Simon vs. and The Gentleman’s guide to vice and virtue! I enjoyed both of them immensely. I read Leah On The Offbeat today so I wonder if it counts for the Readathon even if I’m not actively participating? 🤔 I’m off to wonder that.

    Have a great month!

Great to know that you’re back to reading and blogging, slumps are the absolute worst. Good luck!
