Which book to movie adaptation did you hate the most?
This one’s easy- the Percy Jackson movies!
Nothing pisses me off more than completely twisted book to movie adaptations and this one was so absurd and unbelievably incorrect that it didn’t even seem to be an adaptation but more of an original movie!
I was really obsessed with the books when I first decided to watch the movies. Everyone had warned me against it but I still went ahead thinking how bad can it be?
Lesson learned: Always go with the fandom
What book character superpower do you want (you can only chose one)?
*brain spontaneously combusts*
How can I choose one?!
Well then, let me think about the bazillion books I have read…
Now I don’t know if this is because I am currently obsessed with Shadowhunters and The Mortal Instruments series characters, but I definitely choose Magnus Glitterking Bane!
I mean who wouldn’t want the centuries old warlock’s wisdom and expertise and iconic sense of fashion along with his magical skills? The Shadowhunters also have many cool powers but that is thanks to their runes and their training. Magnus Bane on the other hand has had his powers since he was a child and one can only imagine how powerful he would be after centuries of mastering it!
I’m trash for Magnus Bane is all I’m going to say.
Which book character would you want to be your husband/wife (you can only chose one)?
Is it bad that the answer to this question immediately popped into my mind along with a list of potential fictional character husbands?
My choice would be the lovely James Carstairs aka Jem from The Infernal Devices because he is so freaking sweet and adorable and SOMEONE NEEDS TO HUG HIM.
(by someone I mean me)
Jem is so selfless and brave and I often feel like yelling at him- PLEASE DON’T ENDANGER YOUR LIFE FOR OTHERS but at the same time I don’t want to yell at him?
He would make the perfect husband because he is a true gem.
You had to see that one coming.
Would you rather have the ability to erase your memories of books as you wish so you can repeatedly re-read them, or the ability to turn back the clock when you bought a book you’re super disappointed in?
Turn back the clock to when I bought a book because I am super disappointed in it!
This would be beneficial for so many reasons! One, I’ll actually be able to buy more books instead of constantly worrying about buying a book and finding out that I don’t really like it. IT HAS HAPPENED ENOUGH TIMES and now I have a 400 paged book, of which I’ve read like 50 pages, rotting away in my bookshelf.
Also, I re-read books because I know what’s going to happen and I usually look forward to specific parts that make me squeal and cry and make my heart melt like plastic, so I wouldn’t really want to erase my memories on that!
If you can only read one genre for the rest of your life what would it be?
I just cannot decide!
Earlier I use to read only fiction or mystery but now I am obsessed with Young Adult and Fantasy. YOU CANNOT MAKE ME CHOOSE.
I mean dragons vs relatable and adorable teens….
Nope. Not happening
If you can only enter the book world (of one book) what would it be?
I swear on Books this is not a promotional post for Shadowhunters.
BUT THE SHADOWHUNTER WORLD!
I still don’t know whether I want to be a Shadowhunter or Warlock but definitely that world! Because it’s oozing with magic, treachery, demons, dragons, seraph blades and is a mix of both YA and fantasy so what is not to like?!
It’s the best of everything good!
I am never giving up an opportunity to meet them!
And now it’s time for my questions!
1. If you can have any one character always by your side, who would it be and why?
2. What according to you is the most important part of a novel or book that draws you in?
3. Name a book villain that you found yourself sympathizing with and why?
4. If your life was turned into a book what would it be titled? *
5. Which was the first book or series that had you fangirl and discover a fandom?
6. Name a few books or series you wish you had read when you were younger
7. What is/are your go to book(s) for when you are feeling down?
8. Which recent book gave you a serious hangover?
9. Which fictional character’s name do you want to steal and rename yourself and why?
10. Which book brought a significant change in your life and how?
11. Which fantasy or fictional creature would you want to have as a pet?
